The Territory
Located in the beautiful setting of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, the largest protected area of the Trentino region, Rendena Valley is the ideal place where to spend holidays and vacations enjoying nature, sport, wellness and relaxation.
The mountain chain of the Adamello-Presanella and the Brenta Dolomites, declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009, offers to trekking lovers a wide choice of trails with different levels of difficulty, for hiking and excursions at the discovery of enchanting landscapes and views.
Biking and mountain biking enthusiasts can access a network of biking paths, including off-road trails, while the more daring tourists can test their skills and courage in activities such as canyoning, downhill sports, climbing or paragliding, even with the support of qualified and experienced local instructors.
There is also the possibility to go fishing or sport-fishing in the many streams, rivers and mountain lakes and play golf in the two existing nine-hole courses.
Those who choose the mountain in winter time can have fun in the new Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta Val di Sole Val Rendena Skiarea, the largest ski-circuit of Trentino with 150 km of interconnected ski runs, but also enjoy cross-country skiing, ice climbing, skating, ski mountaineering or snowshoeing as well as dog sledding.
Those who prefer "pampering and relaxation" to sport life can take advantage of the thermal treatments in the area at the Terme di Comano and Caderzone Terme, or enjoy the many wellness centers and spas, without forgetting to taste local traditional dishes, such as the tempting gastronomic specialties offered by restaurants and farm holidays.
Finally, do not miss the interesting cultural itineraries, including the beautiful frescoes by Baschenis featured in the small churches of S. Antonio Abate in Pelugo, S. Stefano in Carisolo and S. Vigilio in Pinzolo, where one can admire the famous "Danza Macabra".
